Ma.gnolia API
From Ma.gnolia Community Wiki
Current API Version: 2
[edit]
Overview
The Ma.gnolia API makes available key features for accessing and managing bookmark collections data through other websites and online applications. Browser extensions, rich client-side bookmark collection managers and browsers, and the integration of Ma.gnolia content are all possible through this aspect of the service.
We ask that application developers use the API responsibly. This means:
- Being efficient and considerate with the frequency of service requests. Limit requests to no more than one per second, and only one request at a time. Also, you should try to cache the results for at least 15 minutes.
- Taking care to create a considerate and humane user interface, and to protect user credentials by not storing them in the clear or longer than necessary
- Reporting problems directly to Ma.gnolia before publicizing them
- Sending requests and issues to support [at] ma.gnolia.com.
Also, be sure to let us know when you’re ready to launch your offering so we can link to it and help spread the word. If you write a class or other programming tool, bookmark it in the Ma.gnolia Developers group.
